Snorkeling and scuba diving are certainly two of the main activities we recommend doing — during the day or night time hours — once you get to Amilla. The island is surrounded by a vibrant great barrier reef whose waters will bring you face to face with everything from clown fish in their anemones, tuna, and parrot fish, to manta rays, green sea turtles, hawksbill sea turtles, and shoals of hundreds of surgeonfish.
Lured by this rich marine life you will finally get the chance to meet face-to-face with one of many species of sharks that inhabit the bountiful coral reefs, like the Whitetip reef shark, the Blacktip reef shark, or the Grey reef shark.

You are cocooned in a safe environment- after doing all the tests and ensuring that you are covid free – you then go out of the room and are back into a world of no mask wearing as a guest – it’s amazing and liberating! I was delighted to be in a place that allowed me to forget the outside world for a bit.

The rooms are wonderful and spacious, housekeeping on point with everything done to perfection. Gazing out over your infinity pool is a serene experience.

The food is top notch – I must give a special mention to the Italian chef who made the most delicious pastas and pizzas for me – a real winner! Having said that – everything was divine.
